2-7-17 2pm

Figured I update the report since this mornings is no longer valid. We were forecasted for 3-5 today, we probably have 6-8″ on the ground with no end in sight yet. It is a fine moist snow too. Not Lake effect so it will be good for the trails. This weekend has temps in the 30’s which sucks, but we are going to cool back off next week. Might as well “Get Your Asses up here”, if you don’t want to be in the UP when it is snowing there is something wrong with you. Something Very, Very wrong.

Weather: Snow, Snow, Snow.

Conditions: Good to very Good.

5-8″ today? That is what they are calling for, I do hope Becker finally gets her 8″ and is not disappointed again.

Trail report from Kent, Monday AM (thanks Kent)
Trail 13 – from trail 2 to trail 8 – huge improvement from last Friday – must have been groomed overnight or early this AM – very good southern half – no rough spots in corners very few rocks – northern portion – very good to excellent – the new reroute south of Root Cellar very nice – wide and was brushed last fall
Trail 8 towards Ewen – not groomed real recent – holding up okay would give it fair to good
Trail 1&8 corridor trail had been groomed overnight – starting to get a little choppy by midday due to a fair amount of traffic today
Trail 1N and 102 – did not ride but could see was groomed overnight and looked very good
Trail 1S west side of lake – just groomed – very good to excellent – picture is from trail 1 between Bergland and Fish Tales
will be riding Wed and Thur – more reports then

 A very sad day today.

After seven years of training in the medical fields and hard work, a very good friend of mine was fired after one minor indiscretion.
He slept with one of his clients and can now no longer work in the profession.

What a waste of time, effort, training and money.
A genuinely nice guy and an absolutely brilliant mortician.
